Colin Mann serves as Director of Choirs at the Williston Northampton School in western Massachusetts where he conducts the Upper School choirs, campus community chorus, and select a cappella ensembles. He instructs AP Music Theory and is the music director for the annual musical. In August 2019, Mann created the Williston Festival Chorus, a resident adult chamber choir dedicated to cultivating choral music within the broader school community. Mann is the Founder and Artistic Director of the East Ave Chorale, a semi-professional vocal ensemble in Rochester, New York. The ensemble has performed Bach Lobet den Herrn, Mendelssohn Sechs Lieder Op. 59, Hindemith Six Chansons, and Daniel Elder Ballade to the Moon. His conducting teachers include William Weinert, Ann Howard Jones, Craig Arnold, and Gerald Gray. Most recently, Colin traveled to Kuala Lumpur to sing Bach’s St. Matthew Passion with the Malaysia Bach Festival. He sings with Illuminati Vocal Artists where he has sung baritone solos in Durante Magnificat and Schubert Mass in G. While at Fredonia, Mann sung operatic roles including Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), John Brooke (Little Women), and the Reverend Olin Blitch (Susannah). Colin earned the Master of Music degree in conducting from the Eastman School of Music and the Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Voice Performance from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
