All Saints’ has a beautiful Austin organ and a lovely Steinway grand piano, as well as a harpsichord. The 4-part adult choir sings at the 9:00 am Sunday service, sharing musical works from many different periods. Solos are provided by our cantor Kyle Ransom and musician-in-residence mezzo-soprano Sarah Bracci. We are often joined by instrumentalists from the congregation, college, and community. The handbell choir provides a joyful Introit once a month. Also once a month, we have the pleasure of a grand organ postlude performed by former All Saints’ organist Ernest May.
The music program at All Saints’ is open to everyone! The adult choir and the handbells rehearse on Thursday afternoons. No experience is necessary. Our Celtic folk band Einini practices following Sunday services and provides music for Morning Prayer services. Einini grew out of our After-church Irish/Appalachian Folk Jam, and we retain the folk jam feel, welcoming anyone who would like to join us on an instrument (e.g. tin whistle, guitar, fiddle, harmonica) or voice.
Watch for dates, times, and invitations to join multi-generational musical/ dramatic productions, attend a Coffee House Benefit or a concert. Save the date for our Christmas Eve service with Nativity Tableau on Dec. 24 and our production of “Amahl and the Night Visitors” on the evenings of January 15th and 16th.
